PROJECT BRIEF

To create a video trailer for Rev. Joy M. Perugini's coaching program, Submerge. Joy is a spiritual mentor and healer that supports client on their healing journey. The purpose of the trailer was to showcase the emotional journey and transformation that her clients will experience going through her coaching program together.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

I used a video Zoom call of Joy working with a client and added titles and slides to create the full trailer.

Ordinarily a Zoom call might be a dull watch, however, as Joy uses so many interesting tools and methods it meant that visually it was actually very intriguing. So I cherrypicked some of the best moments from the video and crafted them into a visual and emotional story.

The video effectively showcases some of the methods and tools Joy uses with her clients helping them to know what to expec when they work with hert. As well it represents the emotional and healing journey that they go on when they work with her as a coach/healer.

ELEMENTS

For the titles I chose to use masked clips of water to represent the Submerge name and the fire and smoke as transformative elements, in the same way that the coaching program is transformative too.

The slides on the end are meant to look like purple and green mermaid scales. These are elements and colours that Joy resonates with strongly and enjoys visually. As she does not have a brand identity locked in yet we decided to go with these. They are things which she loves and that use colours that her ideal clients would be drawn in by too. Green being a colour representing healing in the spiritual world and purple representing intution and magic, both important parts of Joy's work and life.

MUSIC

I chose music that built up over time into a very uplifting, epic and emotional finish. I believe it feels much like something out of a fantasy movie such as Lord of the Rings where they go on a transformative journey and overcome many obstacles along the way. This is exactly the kind of feeling I wished to create with the music. I made sure to time the music and the video clips together so that what you are seeing visually and feeling via the music felt really cohesive to the whole story we were trying to tell.

USAGE

The video was created to be used on social media to market her program and draw in clients how are the right fit to work with her. On the back end of the video in the slides, there are calls to action that direct the viewer on their next action to move towards working with Joy in the Submerge program.
